Atlanta Lawn Care
Atlanta Lawn Care can be a difficult task to complete as a diy. With the help of this blog you will be given an abundence of resources and advice to manage your Atlanta Lawn and make it Green and Beautiful. Common Turf grasses in the Atlanta are are Fescue, Bermuda, and Zoysia. Fescue is a "cool" season grass that has a long growing season. Atlanta Fescue Lawns are normally green from September through June. Under the right care, a fescue lawn can stay green through the summer, but it is very common for Atlanta Fescue Lawns to go into a state of dormancy during the summer, caused by disease, or excessive heat. Bermuda in Atlanta is the preferred turf of Atlanta Lawn Care. Bermuda is a warm season turf and goes dormant from october through march or april. It is very drought tolerant, disease resistant, traffic tolerant, and has a beautiful blue green color. Bermuda unfortunately needs a lot of sunlight to do well, so many homes may have to go a different route. Zoysia is also a warm season turf, but there are many different varieties of Zoysia in Atlanta. Some varieties are very shade tolerant, such as a Zeon Zoysia, and others are moderately tolerant, such as Meyer. Zoysia is the second favorite turf of Atlanta Lawn Care, only because it is more prone to disease, but it is by far, a beautiful lawn. More to come on all of these turf types and how to make them beautiful.
